At the holidays we are reminded that a little extra generosity is in order, so all of us here at Lifescape Associates were very excited to participate in the Spread the WarmthTM campaign created by Dream Wise Marketing Solutions. This fantastic community service initiative has distributed over 1,000 gloves and other winter clothing items to residents of Colorado since 2009. The gloves are sent out to recipients who are in turn asked to give them to someone they know or meet who is in need. Lifescape volunteers with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver

Lifescape Associates recently volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver to build a home for Apolinar Bustamante and his family. Apolinar works as a laborer for Casi Colorado, an asphalt services company, while his wife, Abelina, works in customer service for Las Americas. Apolinar and his family were thrilled for the opportunity to move into a home and out of their small problem filled apartment just off Federal Boulevard in southwest Denver. Not only did their apartment not have air conditioning, it was in area plagued with crime, graffiti, noise and traffic accidents.

The Denver Hospice has been Colorado’s leading hospice and palliative care center for over 30 years. Serving over 50,000 patients and their family members, The Denver Hospice has helped care and comfort many families through the most difficult times. They care for the elderly who are near the end of their long journey, the young with advanced illnesses, those fighting life-limiting illnesses and the families who are dealing with the grief of seeing dear loved ones go through such situations.

Building a Future with Habitat For Humanity

On Friday, Jan 22, members of Lifescape Associates took off the dress shoes and put on the work boots as we participated in our first Habitat for Humanity build.  Our work team included: Randy Randolph, Michael Hupf, Ron Lee, Jeff Wright, Ron Lee, Troy Shimp, Leann Ostheimer, Dan DeGrush and Tonya Glassmeyer.

We worked on the Bails Townhome community.  This is Habitat’s first green, Transit Oriented Development in Metro Denver.   The Bails Townhome Community is a 24-townhome development located in the thriving Virginia Village neighborhood that will allow for affordable housing and transportation options for low income families.
